Hello. I was originally going to silently disappear for a while and perhaps show up at a later date.
Every so often there may be a post out of nowhere when creativity sparks.
I've realized that's a bit of a rude way to go about it—so instead I will give a proper explanation, a farewell for now, and share a poem.
Seasons of Change: Heart Exchanged
Roses bloom red hues Here my love is true Where skies become blue The truth is here with you Rainy nights Unwelcome flights Here comes the rain Washing out the stain Summer rain is warm Like the heart before the storm Here the seasons change Heart wishes for a warm exchange. Leaves begin to turn The sky gray like ash in an urn Colors bloom in fading light Cooling dew reflects the night. Emotions seem to bleed starlight Heartbeats settle in moonlight Clarity builds within night Blessing a single light. Outside it's pure white Snow glittering trying to unite Together they form bundled tight Here a heart freezes the fright. A heart thawed in Spring Burning through Summer Exchanged in Fall Then frozen in Winter Seasons of Change Heart exchanged
I'm Okay
First off I'll start with—I'm fine. I just need space to get my emotions and mental state back together. There is a lot going on right now and I need to get on track with new medications.
My fiancee told me to share that she says “He's in good care, I have him, don't worry!” Funny girl.
She is right, though, I am, or at least I will be doing well. We will get there. ❤️
Books, Future, Series
So I'm not looking to quit Substack or anything (at least, there are no plans yet). I am still working on creative goals. I may even still drop in some ghost posts, just don't count on replies or shares as I am not really here.
Devouring Abyss currently has 3 books finished. 1 released and the other 2 are finished draft-wise. It may be awhile before they are released and they may still get revised or rewritten.
I am working on a novel series, currently it has 6 novella volumes finished. Pretty excited about this one. It's ‘The Adventures of Kael,’ which is a tentative name at the moment.
As for the future… I can't promise anything. I do hope I am able to come back, share love, and uplift someone's day somewhere out there. It has been a big part of what I want to do here—help others.
Farewell.
As stated earlier, I may still have ghost posts or even say “hi” every so often. I don't know how long I will be gone either, it may be long or short. As of this moment, no plans on quitting, but that could change, too.
Overall, there's no need to worry. I am fine and getting better.
I hope you have a very lovely day, stay safe, and feel loved.
Much love,
Cory.

Really good to hear from you, Cory --take all the time you need. We love you and understand. We'll be here whenever you return. 💞
Take care of yourself kid. I know you’ve had it rough and you’re due for some downtime after what you’ve been through. Will keep a light on for you to find your way back, if that is the path you choose to walk.
